Increasingly, things happen that leave you astonished, but you don’t want to blow it out of proportion. Then the incidents multiply, and your love’s sweetness turns into a big poisonous ball that lies heavy in your stomach - and it hurts.

The various colors represent the different attempts at changing it for the better: leaving short-term (red), couple counseling (green) and continious discussions about values (yellow).

“The French promise of a better life” is a hand drawn interpretation of a famous designer handbag, representing joy and hedonism, as well as conformity, consumerism and the insatiability with which we strive for materialistic things. It also captures the feeling of emptiness that washes over us once we attain them and realize how shallow these possessions are.
